ABOUT

At Jay Squared Studio, we create bespoke furniture pieces that combine functional design with handcrafted decorative finishes.

Each piece is custom built and finished by hand using premium texture coatings, Venetian plaster, microcement, and specialty decorative techniques to create surfaces with depth, character, and individuality. No two pieces are exactly alike.

Our goal is to move beyond mass-produced furniture and create statement pieces that become a feature of the space they live in. From coffee tables and dining tables to cabinetry, shelving, and custom installations, every project is designed around the client's vision and built with meticulous attention to detail.

By combining 10 years of quality craftsmanship with unique textured finishes, we create furniture that is both practical and visually breathtaking; designed to be appreciated for years to come.

FOUNDER, FURNITURE DESIGNER & MARKER

JACOB BECHARA

Hi!, My name is Jacob and I am an Industrial Designer specialising in furniture design, with over six years of experience in custom joinery and furniture manufacturing, alongside six years working as a concrete specialist.

My passion has always been creating pieces that blur the line between furniture and art. Drawing on my background in design, craftsmanship, and decorative finishes, I create bespoke furniture that combines functionality with sculptural form, texture, and character.

I was honoured to be selected as a finalist in Australia's Next Top Design in both 2024 and 2025, recognition that reflects my commitment to innovative design and pushing creative boundaries within the furniture industry.

Every piece I create is designed with purpose and handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail. Whether working with timber, concrete, Venetian plaster, or custom texture finishes, my goal is to create distinctive furniture that becomes a lasting focal point within a space.

For me, furniture should do more than serve a function, it should tell a story, spark conversation, and be appreciated as a work of art for years to come.
